What does it mean to be food insecure?
"When people are limited in being able to get enough quality food to eat, not only do they feel hunger on a regular basis, they are said to be 'food insecure,'"according to a Wisconsin Hope Lab study that focused on food insecurity and homelessness of college students across the country. We chose to research this topic because it is a problem for other colleges and for Delaware County, Ohio. One college specifically shows how students are in need of assistance when it comes to getting good quality of food. As part of our research, we conducted 13 interviews, examined local and national data, circulated a campus-wide survey, and took a close look at the operation of Ohio Wesleyan's food service.
"Food insecurity is very widespread."

"The affordability of eating on campus isn't really affordable."
